Creation of the new Digital Ecosystem for banks of a regional banking group based on a real project example.

The aim of the banks is to create a lifestyle ecosystem around the hitherto rather purist core banking services that accompanies customers in their everyday lives, offers real relevance, and also meaningfully integrates local corporate customers. At the same time, there should be a reference to account & card to increase their preference in everyday use. In addition, the high churn rate is to be reduced in order to secure customer revenue.

Implementation

After it was determined that previous VAS providers could not meet the requirements, the pilot bank (and subsequently others) opted for the following building blocks. The implementation is based on our multi-client customer portal, so that it is easy to add other banks of the same group. In addition, the Smart App will be introduced.

Short & sweet

The result is the first Beyond Banking ecosystem for regional banks with various thematic modules. Even if these are supposedly smaller regional banks, they now have the opportunity to offer their customers the solution today that the “big ones” have only talked about up to now. Based on state-of-the-art technology, customers receive real everyday relevance.

Remarkable: Regio+

A special feature is the design of the Offers+ product, which here as Regio+ provides the provision of regional cashback campaigns. In contrast to previous regional cashback solutions, which operate a simple cashback clearing (whereby the retail partner has no control over which customers he bonuses), Offers+ enables “Targeted Campaigns” for the first time. This means that the retail partner can precisely control the scope and duration of his campaign and even specify which customer groups should receive his offer. This reduces wastage and marketing costs enormously, leading to greater sustainability in the program and keeping participating partners in the program. Participation is of course free of charge for retail partners.

Background knowledge & FAQ
The digital ecosystem can be up and running within 4-6 weeks. The Regio+ module must be considered separately, as here a lead time of several months must be planned for the onboarding of corporate customers, depending on the scope.
Apart from some project support during implementation (approx. 0.5 MAK), there is no further effort. After the start of the project, the effort is reduced to regular coordination (0.1-0.2 MAC) and the marketing effort that the bank wants to do.
Absolutely. Customers give their okay via opt-in and agree to the conditions of participation. Anything else is out of the question for us and would also not be serious.
